Reality

So you're probably wondering, how good can a hotel gym really be? Is Eric just all talk when he says he works out? Oh no... this is what I work with:

Look at all those machines. No ellipicals but at least there's treadmills.

Arcade at the Hilton

This is the arcade at the Hilton.

There's a lot of old games like NFL Blitz 2001, a game where you shoot aliens and alien looking like humans (denoted by them shooting at you) called Area 51, and some old 4 player with knights, elves, rouges, and wizards called Gauntlet. That last game had 10 credits in it so I played one of them. It was a bit like diablo but u don't pick up cool things and all the enemies continually spawn back at a constant speed so getting out of an area is more important than killing everything. What frustrated me the most hitting the attack button didn't do anything, you had to keep holding the joystick towards the thing you wanted to kill and the computer did the slashing for you. So running around the enemy was not a possibility when it got crowded. I can't believe this game is a classic. It's an awful game.

My Second Home

Hotel is like my home now. Here is the entrance of the Sports bar. They have a pool table, darts board, and plasma TVs. I've been there a few times but nothing special. I like their wings though.

I would like to go swim but it's creepy how empty it always is

Starbuck

This is something I got at a local Starbucks.

A friend tells me it's a caramel frap. I don't have a clue. I just asked for some coffee product that was cold and was sweet, not bitter. It was really good.

Hilton Columbus

This week I'm back at the Hilton again:

It's a really nice font design, here's a pic of it at an angle:

I'm bunked up here as long as I am at work... and no... the reason is not because I'm sleeping all the time. It's a work place too!

T &T Around the corner

A new supermarket called T&T recently opened in my neighbourhood and this was the first time I've been there. It has some of the best prices and it's clean like a Dominion or Loblaws (if you consider those clean). We were there buying some take out sushi and joining the crowd:

Chinese people just like to be at crowded places

Concourse B

Much like Toronto's airport, Cincinnati's is divided into different sections and I had to get to Concourse B. I had to ride a bus that runs from concourse to concourse through traffic of trucks transporting baggage and airplanes. Here is a picture of the inside of concourse B:

It's really huge a nice. But where's the Canadian flag??? Here's a map if you're ever there:

Much like concourse C, a familiar restaurant can be easily found:

The Cincinnati Northern Kentucky Airport

With a connector flight I get to see a different airport. Here are pics of concourse C:

Yes, those are old black and green CRT TVs for showing the flight information.
Here is the only restaurant I could easily see:

Connector Flight

Last week I had a connector flight so I was talking a different plane. It's a jet this time and not a prop

This is all of us after we got off:

Are you wondering what we're all staring at? Here it is, our baggage:

Terminal 3

You have probably read about JetsGo by now and how their Terminal 3 front is all empty now with people everyone else scrambling around looking for another way to get to their destination, I hope you get an idea how difficult arranging travel is. I was in Terminal 3 just last week:

I hope everyone is able to get to where they need to be. A company that has so many commitments it's suppose to fulfill should not be allowed to shut down like that. I would be really annoyed if I were stuck in a place because my flight was cancelled. Investors should also place more thought into what they invest in. How could they invest in a company that Michel Leblanc founded after he's bankrupted 2 (Royal Aviation before being sold to backrupted Canada 3000 and Quebecair which was renamed to Intair) already!

Another store

Right beside a sports store my friend wanted to go into was a franchise store I regularly visit:

It must seem like I always visit cell phone stores. But but.... ok I just wanted to play with some gadgets. But they usually only have dumb phones so that's no fun. Here's a new Sony Ericsson phone that takes 1 Megapixel pictures that I saw:

You've probably seen many chinese people at pmall with them.

At the Marriott Residence Inn

Since the Marriott Courtyard was full this week, we stayed at the Marriott Residence Inn. They're right beside each other. I can't believe there are so many people visiting Columbus. Anyways here's pics of my room:

It's a great way to work! In front of the TV.
Do they really think I can cook? I can do shake n' bake but where's the oven??

And finally we have my bed. Smaller than my last one but still a good size.

Although you can't tell from the pic, there's another TV right in front of the bed since the bed is in a separate room from the first picture. It's like an apartment.

Many in one Machine

So as many of you know, I'm away a lot and staying at hotels. So how do I keep in such great shape and be able to flex my muscles at will? With this great machine:

It can do many things that most of the machines that they have at the gym downstairs. It's so good I can't even describe the machines it replaces.

TV on a Phone

While I was at that mall I mentioned last time, I was at the Radio Shack and the assistant manager showed me this new Samsung from Verizon:

Yup that's a video streaming from the internet! Too bad it's not live streaming video but it was fast and good quality. Would you ever want to watch TV on your phone? I can imagine people all hunched and squinting their eyes while watching the phone.

Some Mall

We decided to take a short road trip around Ohio to find out what's in this town so we went to this mall in OH. I forget what it's called Eastland Mall, I'll update this blog. So here is a pic of it:

It was SO dead and empty. I never even see woodside square (if you don't know this mall in Toronto then at least you understand how small it is) that empty before. The only time I remember malls that empty was during SARS time.
So I took look around at stuff and saw shoes with weird suspension:

And saw stores that don't exist in Canada:

And a trip to the mall is never complete without a visit to a GSM cell phone store:

The Next Week

So I haven't even told you about my last week. We stayed at the Marriott Courtyard:

And we drove in a PT Cruiser (or as dracore would say, coffin car):

I really didn't like the placement of the bed. I faced the window. I guess it's to force people to get up for work.

Here is how I was set up with my best friend... the TV with HBO!

This is a pic of my best friend and I doing work.

I really wished that my best friend could help me get some of the work done as well. Best friends always seem to be districting when real work has to be done.

Where is technology taking us?

While I was away again I went into a Best Buy and I saw this great product!

Now you're not just going to pick up a midnight snack, you're going to go watch some TV!
This refrigerator costs $1000 USD more than a similarly sized and equipped one.
