Flying again

Since I'll be flying again tomorrow I thought about showing you some pics of me boarding the plane last week right after the big snow fall the day before. Here's a plane:

It's so cold so see everyone rushing to board the plane.

I'm actually sitting closer to the front this time! As you can see, the flight attendant is showing us how to buckle the seat belts. Since this plane I'm on doesn't have have a screen to show the safety video, they only play the audio via a cassette tape.

Here's the propeller of the plane in flight:

A lot of pics for a weekend so scroll down for all the pics you've missed

Back Home on the Weekend

It's nice to be back on the weekends. I love Toronto SOOO much! Actually what I'm writing here and posting here is actually a whole week ago. Time goes by so quickly. Well I went to pmall for dinner on the weekend so here's another Happy Year of the Rooster:

And this is a familiar sight to everyone:

Most of the stores were closed when I took a walk around after dinner but the arcade is open. They were like charging people at the door. How does that work? I haven't been there for a long time but I wanted to go in to check out what games they had.
Since I couldn't go there I took a look at the bead shop:

More Pics of Hotel

So here are some pics of the Hilton I took when waiting for my friends in the lobby:

And here is a very interesting statue:

Now I know a lot of you guys wonder what I do when I'm in Ohio. Well, here's one of my new friends:

Yup, it's the TV. The states have HBO and that is a great station with 2 movies each day. Just yesterday I watched Aliens 4. It's not a great movie but it was something to watch. The night before it was Matrix 3!

Just a Walk Around

There was a night we were searching for food. This is what we saw at the mall:

I already had a Big Mac-like burger for the afternoon so more burgers was not really on my mind. The night before we had Turkish food at:

It was main kabobs and they were very good. Even the minced lamb and chicken were good.
After dinner we took a walk in the mall and went into Footlocker to look at stuff. I saw a sale on shirts, 5 for $20 or you can buy 1 for $9.99. So if you get 2 you get 3 free shirts. Nice. But the sizes were odd, here's one:

I thought XL was really big, now it's even bigger! I've never seen such sizes in Canada. Must be an America thing.

The Local Mall!

Just outside of the hotel I was staying at, there's a mall called the Easton. So the we usually have dinner somewhere there. Here's the inside of the enclosed mall section:

Once again I'm walking and taking a pic so that's why it's blurry. On the way to the resturant I saw this:

It's a horse with a heart on it's bum. Yes, it's blurry cuz I was walking and trying to keep up with my friends. Don't expect much from a camera phone. I thought it was cute since it was Valentine's day as well.
Here is a better above all view of the mall:

A Trip!

I just got back from my week trip to Oh-hi-oh! So this is the first time I'm able to upload my pictures to my laptop. So let's start from the beginning...

This is the plane that flew us to Ohio:

As you can see, it's not just small on the outside, it's small inside as well (I'm sitting at the last seat when I took this)

We got two cookies and some sesame snacks for the flight.
We went straight to work so later that night we checked in at the hotel:

It's a pretty blurry pic cuz my friends were waiting for me.
This is my room:

And now the man's home, the washroom:

So other than work, what else can I do in Ohio?

Today is Wednesday but I haven't been able to upload my pictures since then so you'll have to see what I took on Sunday. I went to church:

Nothing special but it was a lot more empty since a lot of people were out on retreat

Happy Chinese New Year!

My family went to dinner last night for another Chinese New Year dinner. Here's a really nice display they had at the dinner:

This looks a lot better than the red pocket picture I had before.

Quiznos Subs

Had a great sleep last night. Slept for many many hours. A lot more than my usual 6.5h. I woke up early enough to catch lunch at:

Great toasted subs near my house.

Swiss Chalet

Since my parents were out, my sis was out, and it's a Friday night, I went to worked out after work. Then talked to a friend at work for quite a bit then went to pick up my sis. I didn't have dinner yet so we stopped by Swiss Chalet for some take out for me. All the Swiss Chalet up North on McCowan have dry chicken but we went to the one on Brimley and Sheppard. The chicken there is still SOOOOO good. Here's my half eaten dinner when I realized I needed a pic of this:

Old School Wednesday

I love listening to Z103.5 on Wednesday because it's when they play all the old school dance songs I like. I do feel old and recalling all those great favorites. This is the CD that I think of when I listen on Wednesday:

Yes it's old, but it's still the best Dance Mix compilation Much Music had put out.

I want an Acura!

So today was another day of going to a dealership. This time it was an Acura dealership:

I had visited earlier to test drive the Acura TSX, which I liked a lot. Richard, the sales consultant, had called me on Friday during a work meeting but I had to hang up on him. I called him back this afternoon to make sure it was him who called me and ask him if there were any specials at Acura. I hear their manager is giving some very special discounts this month. So I tell him I might be going later that afternoon. I went with my parents and we took a quick look at the TSX and the colours available. My mom saw the EL and she liked that. It was a loaded up Civic! No way! Since I already tested the car 2-3 times in the past and I didn't care to test again, it was time to sit down to talk money. After a lot of blah blah blah. I like this car:

I want a Mazda!

Looks like it's car shopping time again. My old Corolla from 1989 has problems so it's time to replace it. I went to the Mazda dealership yesterday looking at the Mazda 6 hatchback:

Very nice and blue. It has good stearing wheel feedback and handling. I love the exterior styling. Very aggressive and has 4 doors!! I didn't like the interior however. Felt like everything was made of cheap plastic and was going to fall off at sometime. The price isn't super great so I'll be looking elsewhere.

Lego X-Wing

Did you play lego when you were younger? I know I did. I spent a lot of time with it. Making all those toys I couldn't buy because there's just too many toys available and you can't buy them all. So I use to make dinosaurs, tanks, planes. helicopters, houses, shops, and many other things. Well, I was at a toy shop a while ago and I saw this cute Lego mini X-Wing. I didn't think it was worth buying so I made it:

Here is the real one:

They're almost the same but I don't have enough white blocks so I made it black. I wonder if kids play with lego anymore or just play video games

The "Weird" stores

I've been to quite a few shopping malls (maybe a bit more than just a few), but there's a lot of stores I don't wander into. For example, the lingerie stores, the bedding stores, and the arcade. I mean like, how many of you actually walk into the larger department stores like Sears or the Bay. Most of the time I just turn around like at Markville or just skip the corner like Yorkdale. Here is a store I rarely go into but it's big:

Although some good deals can be had there. I can never find anything there because there really isn't many small sized things for me. And sometimes small seems to be too large for me. We found a sweater from Abercrombie & Fitch so I figure Winners gets their things from the US where people there are larger.

Now there's the places where I just know I won't find many good stuff:

Battery Plus reminds me of Radio Shack. They both do not have reasonably priced things.
